We believe that human development is dynamic, sequential and predictable, and that through the use of teaching programmes, an individual is able to develop optimum competency, regardless of a person’s disability and behavioural expression.
We further believe in the principles of normalisation and the least restrictive alternative as philosophies for service delivery.
Due to this belief, we value the promotion of community integration, use of generic services and community living for persons with intellectual disability.
Further, we uphold the rights of persons with an intellectual disability through the use of instrumental and citizen advocacy.
