  • Certificate lll in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services or Individualised Support (preferred but not essential – if you have the right attitude, LAAS can also provide on-the-job training and support you to study for your qualifications concurrently with your work)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS Worker’s Clearance

Quality and Compliance Manager

LAAS has an excellent opportunity for a quality-minded manager to join our team and drive organisational compliance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework.

Reporting to the CEO, the Quality & Compliance Manager is responsible for the development and ongoing management of the quality framework to align with the Organisation’s vision, purpose, core values and strategic plan. To drive LAAS’ continued success and sustainable growth, this includes undertaking policy and procedure review, internal audits, and document development activities in support of quality and continuous improvement.

Disability Support Workers

Support workers provide support both in-home and within the community to our Clients who have varied disabilities. As our Clients have unique needs, services are tailored to each individual customer. We hire across the Riverland region.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Providing personal care, e.g. showering, dressing, transferring (manual transfer or hoist transfer), hair care, nail care and make-up
  • Complex health support: PEG feeding, bowel and continence care, medication assistance, ventilator
  • Meal preparation: Preparation of breakfast, lunch or dinner and/or assistance with eating
  • Domestic assistance: May include bed making, general cleaning, washing dishes, doing laundry and any reasonable request
  • Community access: Assisting out in the community, including when shopping, at events, family occasions, and social outings. Can also include assistance at work, school or place of study
  • Transport: Assistance travelling to and from shopping, specialised classes, events, appointments, work or school
